Weightlifting for women Ep.13 – The finisher workout

Coach Nicola Addison, personal trainer of Eqvvs training who trains models Elle Macpherson, Daisy Lowe and Erin O’Connor reveals her (killer) finisher workout. We LOVE it

Healthista’s Strong Woman Series aims to educate aspiring weight trainers how to safely carry out heavy lifting workouts.

This week Nicola Addison teaches us how to perform effective compound movements that will improve your strength and help you to burn fat.

Nicola reveals her secret weapon to end your workout and get you closer to achieving your goals, ‘The finisher workout’. This workout is a combination of five compound movements that have been taught over the past two weeks in the Strong Woman Series.

The aim of this to use up any gas you have left in the tank when you’re feeling ready to throw in the towel and call it a day. The workout will cover many muscles and many joints all over the body, which allows it to become highly effective, helping to burn calories and fat.

So let’s get started or should I say FINISHED.

THE FINISHER WORKOUT ROUTINE

The workout involves five compound movements, with 10 reps to complete each movement.

  1. Deadlift X 10

2. Bent over row X 10

3. Muscular clean X 10

4. Military press X 10

5. Front squat X 10
