10-minute yoga for anxiety to let all that tension go

Healthista’s new series features yoga experts talking about how to use yoga for your greatest health benefit. This week, Kirsty and Kat from Movement for Modern Life guide you through a 10-minute yoga for anxiety sequence

Our Yoga for… series is back, this week we’ve partnered with yoga experts from Movement For Modern Life, the online home to the best yoga instructors in the UK.  This week is all about how to reduce and calm anxiety using yoga. Let us know what you think on Twitter and Facebook and scroll down for a brilliant membership offer.

This short practice will reset your nervous system and turn off the fight or flight response of anxiety. The quickest way to change your physiology is your breath so we use a 1:2 breath count. Use it as a maintenance practice so you keep returning to a soft, easy space in your breath and body. This sequence is deliberately simple and you will need a blanket.
