The gym might have been quiet over the christmas period but, Terry Fairclough co-founder of Your Body Programme wants to unsettle the dust on those dumbbells with five weeks of circuit workouts structured for weight loss.
These weight loss workouts are all circuit based routines created to keep your heart rate up to a high level of intensity making sure you are getting the most out of your workout.
This workout is a timed circuit using a timer, it requires you to perform six exercises back to back, each doing 15 reps.
Once you have completed all six exercises you are rewarded with three minutes rest and this completes a set. There are a total of four sets and each set must be completed quicker than the previous one.
Remember to always have correct technique during this circuit and don’t go too fast that your form goes out of the window.
1 – Raised split leg squat with dumbbell shoulder press, 15 reps
2 – Alternate side, 15 reps
3 – Alternating single arm dumbbell chest press, 15 reps
4 – Kettlebell deadlifts, 15 reps
5 – Sumo front squat, 15 reps
6 – Bosu kettlebell / dumbbell pullover, 15 reps
Rest for three minutes.
