This weight loss workout will change your body

Our weight loss workout series returns for week two of five with this killer session from co-founder of Your Body Programme, trainer Luisa Valenti

It’s January and if your new year’s resolution is to focus on shaping up then this new circuit for weight loss could help. Its mix of body weight moves and resistance-based exercises will help raise your heart rate and burn those calories.

These weight loss workouts are all circuit-based routines structured in a way to keep your work rate up to a high level of intensity and make sure you are getting the most out of your workout.

Let’s see what Luisa from Your Body Programme has for you and remember these workouts are going to make you sweat, but that’s ok because sweat is just your fat crying.

Circuit #2

This circuit is made up of two parts – part one consists of six resistance exercises that require you to complete 12 reps of each exercise back to back. Part two is to be completed without a rest after part one is finished. Part two will be set on the treadmill with 6 intervals of sprints. This is one set and you will need to rest for three minutes before repeating the circuit for three more times.

Part one –

  1. Swiss ball chest press – 12 reps

2A. Plank one arm row – 12 reps

2B. Alternate side – 12 reps

3. Swiss ball pushes – 12 reps

4. Sumo deadlifts – 12 reps

5. Kettlebell swings – 12 reps

6A. Lunge dumbbell twist – 12 reps

6B. Alternate side – 12 reps

Part two –

Complete 6 intervals of 20 second sprints and 40 seconds rest on a treadmill – This can also be done on other cardio machines such as a rowing machine, bike, cross-trainer.

Rest for three minutes and then repeat circuit three more times.
