Looking to ogle some gorgeous new kit? Check out Sweaty Betty’s stunning SS17 range – we’re crying over it
Sometimes we all just need to ogle at some beautiful sports kit. Enter, Healthista’s new kitspiration feature every Friday. Showcasing some of the most beautiful lookbook collections that have caught my eye this week. First up is this beautiful new SS17 collection from Sweaty Betty. Launching last week, this is some gorgeous kit we are desperate to get our hands on.
London’s weather can be notoriously grey and dreary. London’s fashion scene, on the other hand, is consistently anything but. Sweaty Betty says that London is a place where women have fun getting ready in the morning and their SS17 collection is an ode to the vibrancy of Londoner’s threads and is at the same time inspired by the gorgeous colours and prints of Morocco.
Sweaty Betty’s new range includes cactus prints, bum-sculpting leggings reflecting the smoky Souks and loose knits that wouldn’t look out of place in a Riad.
From geometric cropped tops to flowery printed leggings I am in love with this new collection.

Above: Celestial Reversible Barre Unitard £115
This show-stopping reversible leotard can be worn printed or with the plain black side on show. Wear it for yoga, Pilates, barre or even pack it in your bag for a summer festival. You’ve got to be bold to take it on but with the super stretchy, sweat-wicking soft fabric you’d be bold and comfy.

Above: Brave the Elements Jacket £215 (will be available from Sweaty Betty from 2nd May), Merino British Knit Escape Jumper £115, Thermodynamic Leggings £90, All Sport Tote £65, Swiftie Cap £20
These leggings are a beautiful on-trend Spring pop of neon panelling. And because summer isn’t always that warm here in Britain these Sweaty Betty leggings also use thermal temperature regulating fabric that is supposed to hold in warmth but also let your skin breathe.
These technical leggings take thermal to a new level with colour pop panelling. Constructed in thermal fabric that holds in just the right amount of warmth, while helping to enhance breathability when you sweat. Style with black separates or the matching Thermodynamic Run Top.
Above: Nada Jumper £95, All-Sport Backpack £75, Tear Away Luxe Pants £135
I can’t get enough of this lightweight jumper. It’s perfect to throw over a sports bra when you’re heading out of the gym. The knit has a high neck, long sleeves and a completely sheer back.
Sweaty Betty say the fabric is a breathable viscose blend knit that they recommend layering over neon bras and bright vests.
Above: Purity Reversible Bikini Top £50, Contour 7/8 Workout Leggings £55 (both will be available from Sweaty Betty from 2nd May)
Who doesn’t love a reversible piece of anything? Adding versatility to your wardrobe it is always a winner. This reversible bikini top from Sweaty Betty is no exception. It’s designed in durable chlorine resistant fabric so that the colour doesn’t fade away easily. The reverse side is navy if you feel like a break from the gorgeous in-your-face flowery print.
Above: Free Dive Swimsuit, £80, Swiftie Cap, £20
Above: Salma Vest £60, Dina Culottes £95, Elite Running Belt £35
This running vest comes complete with a reflective silver print on the back to help you on those late night Spring and Summer runs. The top is sweat wicking and quick drying to help you dry up quick on your sweaty workouts and bonded seams and a drop hem make this vest top a great piece for layering or paired with printed leggings.
As someone who frequently goes out running with a bum bag that has seen me through many a festival, I’m also a massive fan of the Elite Running Belt. It looks compact, sleek and comfortable. It’s made in a scuba style fabric that is supposed to mould to your shape – dreamy.
The belt is crafted with an adjustable strap, a front zip with a headphone feed which means no wire sticking out of your zip.

Above: Kenza Workout Crop Vest £45, Contour 7/8 Leggings £55 (both available from Sweaty betty from 2nd May)
Above: Earthshine Sweat £80, Chandrasana Leggings £75 (both available from Sweaty Betty from 2nd May)
Above: Facet Swimsuit £90
I can’t get over this stunning Sweaty Betty swimming costume. The Facet Swimsuit is bright white (so be careful with your on-the-beach cocktails) with contrast fluorescent straps and mesh panels for an added to cheeky touch (but a high neck adds a little modesty). The swimsuit is fully lined which makes it completely opaque when it’s wet, plus the scuba style fabric is high stretch which Sweaty Betty says makes it super flattering.
