New fitness festival In London to arrive next Spring – and Healthista readers can win tickets and a T-Shirt!

If you’re a fitness fanatic who loves all things food, health, travel and wellness then we may have just found your heaven on Earth

From the 12th to the 14th of May 2017, Balance Festival will be pitching up at The Old Truman Brewery, London, to showcase the very best in food, fitness, wellness and travel.

Set to welcome over 16,000 people, Balance Festival is hoping to bring together well-travelled foodies, world-class fitness trainers, awe-inspiring yogis, and most importantly, real people who all share a common vision – to achieve a better self.

The festival is completely new and will be the first of it’s kind. Founded by the experts behind The London Coffee Festival, Jeffery Young and Ludovic Rossignol-Isanovic, the pair are aiming to celebrate wellness while also hoping to embrace the philosophy that you can stay fit and enjoy a balanced, guilt free lifestyle.

So, what’s on offer?

Over 230 classes about food, wellness and inspiration and up to 10,000 workouts are expected to take place over the weekend for you to enjoy.

If fitness is particularly what you’re after then you’ll be able to find the best of the London fitness scene all in one place. With taster sessions from Another Space, Equinox, Barry’s Bootcamp, Third Space, Boom Cycle, F45, Xtend Barre and Triyoga, not only will you be spoilt for choice, but there is something for everyone of all abilities.

The opportunity to experience a one-off workout exclusive will also be available, as fitness influencer and Balance ambassador, Zanna van Dijk, teams up with Shona Vertue to bring you a ‘collision-style’ workout, choreographed to a live DJ set.

Feel like you need to up your cooking skills?  Throughout the festival, Zanna will also be amongst a series of panels, talks and live cooking shows – a unique chance to absorb her knowledge of fitness, nutrition and blogging first hand. You will also be able to grab a few tips and tricks off of the likes of Madeleine Shaw, food doctor, Hazel Wallace, Anna Gardner and Clean Eating Alice.

And if you need to power your workout or regain some energy, Balance Festival will have various delicious kitchens for you to choose from, offering everything from gourmet burgers, milkshakes, sit down meals and of course, avocado on toast.

If like me, you like to mooch around the shops after some lunch, then you can take a trip to the Balance shopping village to check out all the latest sportswear, athleisure and gadgets.

Sometimes the road to a healthy lifestyle can be a challenge and seem overwhelming. Balance Festival will have experts on site to help break it down and offer realistic advice through workshops and lab programmes. You can learn the best ways to live in the moment and enjoy a more fulfilling, as well as discovering the best wellness sanctuaries and treatments the world has to offer.

When does it start and how do I get tickets?

The festival will open with an industry day on May 12th, where a health and wellness summit will also take place. Attendees will have the chance to meet and discuss industry insights with a panel of experts including Lauren Armes, the founder of Welltodo.

The fun starts when the festival kicks off for consumers on May 13th. If you’re up for a challenge, the day starts with the Balance Festival Urban Triathlon at the Olympic Park in Stratford. Begin with a HIIT session in the park, followed by a 7k run to The Old Truman Brewery and finish off with a calming yoga session.

The Urban Triathlon is aiming to raise £300,000 through entry fees and donations and all profits will be donated to Project Waterfall – a charity that aims to bring clean water to coffee growing communities.

Sound like your thing? If you’re eager to get your hands on a ticket, then super early bird tickets are already on sale for £20 and are available at balance-festival.com

If you don’t manage to catch the early bird, you can buy online standard tickets for £28 or VIP tickets for £54.

And if the Urban Triathlon is calling your name, then you can buy a combined Balance Festival ticket and entry to the Triathlon for £75.
