Time is of the essence when in the kitchen. To peel ginger in record time and get going on your cooking, first cut the ginger in half. Then, from the larger to smaller end peel towards you. The great secret? Use a teaspoon. It comes right off and you keep all the nutritious flesh you normally lose.
