GOLF — Florentyna Parker, Holly Clyburn and Rebecca Hudson stop three triumph

In the Ladies Italian Open this weekend, English golfers staggeringly took not only first place, but second and third as well. Florentyna Parker won the tournament with a score of 68, but I think the best part of her victory was the albatross she picked up on the 14th hole. I’m not talking about the bird, that means Parker finished the hole three strokes under par — getting her an albatross and a title. Holly Clyburn came in second with a score of 70, and Rebecca Hudson finished third with a 71.

CYCLING — Laura Trott wins British National Championships

We have another champion after the weekend — Healthista favourite Laura Trott won the British Cycling National Championships on Sunday. The British cyclist beat defending champion, Lizzie Armistead for the title.

TOUR DE FRANCE – It’s coming to the UK July 3rd – 7th

That’s right, stage one of the Tour de France begins Saturday in Yorkshire. This is only the second year the world famous race has been to London (the first being in 2007). If you’re wondering what to do during the Tour de France, try going to one of the fan parks around the area. They will have food, drinks, coverage of the race and other activities. One fan park will be at Harrogate from July 3rd through the 6th, and one at both Green Park and Trafalgar Square from July 5th through the 7th.
