A website aimed at married people looking to have affairs – funnily enough, highly successful – has just polled readers to find TV’s sexiest chefs. That’s some spicy competition
The Taste, 53-year-old Nigella Lawson’s show, may be sinking in ratings, but that didn’t stop members of AshleyMadison.com, the largest site for married people seeking extra-marital affairs, from voting her the sexiest chef in Britain. Jamie got the gong for TV’s sexiest male chef.
Over 3,500 members of the site pitted Britain’s TV chefs against each other to compete for the title of Britain’s Sexiest Chef. Britain’s cheating men and women voted ‘Irish cookery queen,’ Rachel Allen, in second place; Great British Bake Off’s, Ruby Tandoh in third place; and Lorraine Pascale in fourth place.
‘Our members are discerning, most are married and looking for an affair, they know what they’re looking for,’ says Christoph Kraemer, an infidelity expert (is that a thing? And how exactly, do you become an expert in it) and European Communications Director at AshleyMadison.com. ‘Nigella is an icon, all the more so since details of her private life came out in court. She’s talented, sophisticated and intelligent with a bit of an edge.’
In the male category, second place was awarded to Paul Hollywood, who recently reconciled with his wife Alexandra after an affair with Marcela Valladolid. Tom Aitkins and Gordon Ramsey came in third and fourth place, respectively.
