As Sam Faiers launches her new perfume Pure and fake tan range Glow, Healthista attends the launch and reviews the range
Samantha Faiers has had an incredibly successful year, and along with being a mum-to-be, she has also been a very busy businesswoman. Along with co-owning ‘Minnie’s Boutique’, Samantha has also successfully launched herself into the world of beauty products. She has recently launched her second fragrance ‘Pure‘ (£49.99) along with her new tanning range ‘Glow‘.
Pure is a fragrance that has a strong floral scent and has notes of bergamot and mandarin, apple and violet leaf with heart notes of the fragrance being jasmine sambac, orange blossom and exotic ylang-ylang. Base notes include dark silky vanilla, deep patchouli, musk and black pepper.
Samantha was involved in every aspect of creating ‘Pure’, from the design of the packaging to the scent itself. She is a big fan of the fragrance herself, even wearing it at her launch party at Radio Rooftop Bar last week.
‘I’ve been working on developing ‘Pure’ for the last year and have been wearing samples of it for months – I love it! I wanted to create a luxury daytime fragrance at an affordable price that was fresh but lasted as there is nothing worse than a fragrance that fades quickly.’
Alongside creating her new fragrance, Samantha has also produced her first self-tan range, ‘Glow’.
The range consists of self-tanning products to suit all skin tones and consists of a developing self tan, instant tan, instant tan with shimmer, gradual tan moisturiser, pre-tan exfoliator, post-tan protector and professional tanning mitt for the streak-free finish.
The tanning range is fragranced with ‘aromaguard’ aroma neutralising technology which means it doesn’t have that horrible fake tan smell that most tanning lotions do.
We also love that the range is made from completely natural products, and is 100% paraben free, keeping the products kind to the skin.
‘The ingredients of Glow are natural, which sets it apart from other products out there. The self tan is paraben free and made using organic ingredients, which are kind to dry and sensitive skin. My favourite part of it is we’ve got rid of that horrible fake tan smell we all hate!’
One of our Healthista girls, Vicky Hadley tried out the fake tan: ‘The tan stays on for ages and doesn’t even streak, it’s amazing,’ she says. ‘I even put it on my face because the ingredients are all organic and although I often find my skin to be really sensitive, this had no negative effects and has just left me with a lasting glow. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.’
