As part of week five in Rick Hay’s anti ageing 12 week fitness plan, he shows you how to make four metabolism boosting drinks in 30 seconds
Drink one of these boosters per day before breakfast or before the gym to stimulate your system.
Booster 1: Lemon Water
Ingredients:
Lemon Juice
Warm water
Directions:
Squeeze out the lemon juice into a mug and pour warm water on top.
Booster 2: Grapefruit Water
Ingredients:
Grapefruit juice
Warm water
Directions:
As with the lemon water, squeeze a grapefruit and collect its juice in a mug. Pour warm water over and drink.
Booster 3: Dandelion Coffee or Barley Cup
Ingredients:
1 tsp. of Dandelion coffee or Barley Cup cereal drink (as a coffee replacement)
Optional: Splash of rice or almond milk
Warm water
Directions:
Pour dandelion coffee or 1 serving of Barley Cup, a coffee alternative, and mix with warm water. Optional: Include a splash of rice or almond milk, but don’t make the drink too sweet. The bitterness of the drink with help stimulate the gallbladder better.
Booster 4: Prune juice
Ingredients:
Can of prunes
Directions:
Open the can of prunes and pour juice from the can into a glass. Then fill the glass with warm or cool water. Use the prunes for a wonderful mid afternoon snack or dessert!
