TENNIS — Ana Ivanovic beat Barbora Zahlavova-Strycova at the Aegon Classic on Sunday — winning her first grass court title. The tournament champ is now looking ahead to Wimbledon which starts on the 23rd of this month.

Taylor Townsend

Ivanovic isn’t the only one looking forward to the Wimbledon Championships — American teen Taylor Townsend made it to the third round of the French Open, and on Friday the 18-year-old received a wildcard to Wimbledon.

Laura Davies

GOLF – Also on Friday, golfer Laura Davies was named Dame on the Queen’s Birthday Honours list. The 50-year-old is the best British female golfer in history — having played for over 30 years, and winning four major championships. Before being made a Dame, Davies had already been awarded an MBE and a CBE.
