Alicia Vikander, a former ballet dancer who trained at the Royal Swedish Ballet School explained to Bazaar magazine, ‘ Even though we danced seven hours a day, six days a week, they were like, Oh, we can come at 4.30am to school just to do a little extra stretching on my foot. And I was like, ‘I don’t know if I…’ she pauses. ‘I don’t have it.’

Despite non-stop working for three years as a dancer, She then finally decided to jump on the bandwagon of ‘doing what you love’ and not within the strict boundaries of dance but following her mother who was also an actress.  Vikander now leads a busy lifestyle as she constantly travels and juggles projects but never seem to tire. I guess all those years of dancing finally paid off as she’s still looks as fit as a fiddle.

In an exclusive interview with Healthista, personal trainer Kathryn Freehand who has trained Blanchett in the past, says: ‘We did indoor training because she didn’t want to be papped so we did lots of weight training, bodyweight exercises (planks, squats, lunges etc), Pilates and stomach exercises’.

Kate Winslet in Antonia Dorani

40 year old Kate Winslet stole the spotlight on Sunday night with her warming personality and her beautiful curvy figure. Winslet won best actress for her role in Steve Jobs and dedicated her award to women who are the subject of criticism.

In the past Winslet struggled with weight issuesand said she was called ‘blubber’ by her classmates. Coming from a thriving career as an academy award winning actress, being a size zero is unfortunately the Holy Grail.

“I love to cook; I cook every day,”

Kate told Glamour, ‘When I was heavy, people would say to me – and it was such a backhanded compliment – they would say, ‘You’ve got such a beautiful face,’ in the way of, like, ‘Oh, isn’t it a shame that from the neck down you’re questionable,’ .

Thanks to regular workouts and a portion controlled diet she is now thinner and more toned than ever.

“I love to cook; I cook every day,” says Winslet, who also has a personal chef. “Chicken features a lot in our lives. Chicken ‘bits and bobs,’ as my son calls it, which is basically roasted drumsticks.”

She might have a personal chef but she doesn’t have a personal trainer, instead she follows online videos from home.

She says, ‘I just do my own stuff at home with the help of DVDs. A little bit of Pilates,’ she says. ‘And just recently I started running, but I’m not very good.’
