Fitness bloggers team up with Adidas to model autumn/winter 2015 collection – we get their favourite fitness tips

3 female fitness bloggers from London have paired up with Adidas to model their Autumn/Winter ’15 collection and to create a series of online workouts. Healthista asked them for their favourite pieces of fitness advice

The Adidas collection, which is modeled by bloggers Em Sheldon, AJ Odudu and Cat Meffan, features statement themes across the five staple pieces of workout gear: bras, tights, tees/tanks, hoodies and shorts. Some of the pieces from the collection even feature Climachill and Climaheat technology – keeping you cool when you’re hot and warm when you’re cold. Climachill transfers heat and moisture out of the clothing to cool and dry faster, while Climaheat is engineered to lock in heat and let moisture out. healthista asked each blogger for their favourite piece of fitness advice

One bad day isn’t going to change your body just like one good day isn’t either.

‘One bad day isn’t going to change your body just like one good day isn’t either. It’s all about consistency: sleep well, drink more water, move more and eat healthily. Health isn’t about fad diets, it’s a lifestyle choice.’

CAT MEFFAN – jewellery designer who blogs about health and fitness.

It’s all about making your fitness and health journey a lifestyle, with no quick fixes and no fad diets.

”You can’t rush something you want to last forever’ is something I live by now. It’s all about making your fitness and health journey a lifestyle, with no quick fixes, no fad diets and not getting too caught up in trends. It’s about finding what works for you and enjoying every part of the process. If you rush a presentation at work then you wouldn’t expect it to be the best you’ve ever done, in the same way that if you rush the body you want, or the mindset you’re after, then you can’t expect it to be perfect or to last.’

AJ ODUDU, TV presenter, radio DJ, fitness blogger and qualified personal trainer

Don’t skimp on carbs – your body needs them.

‘Don’t obsess about how much you weigh. Weighing scales can’t measure your strength or your energy levels. Also, don’t skimp on carbs – your body needs them to fuel a workout, so reach for an apple or high-fibre slice of rye bread at least an hour beforehand. If you’re exercising for 90 minutes or longer, include some protein so that the carbs break down more slowly, giving you longer-lasting energy.’

The online workout series, #workit, launched in January 2015 and releases new workouts weekly. It aims to bring fans of Adidas a ‘virtual membership’ to some of London’s prime fitness locations. Access the free workouts here.

The full range of Adidas workout gear will drop at different points over the next few months, and will be available for purchase at adidas.co.uk/women-training.
